BRAEHEAD CROFT, pet friendly, with a garden in Portessie, Buckie

Moray. Sleeps up to 6

Portessie is a traditional fishing village that sits on the edge of the Moray Firth coast and if it's dramatic, unadulterated nature and landscape that you want Portessie is a great spot to rent a holiday home.

This property has been recently renovated and now has all mod cons. It's a detached stone croft building located in Portessie itself and has glorious views of the rugged landscapes from most of the windows of the house. The property is all on the ground floor and has 3 double bedrooms, 2 of which have en suite bathrooms with showers. There's another bathroom with a bath, a large open plan living/dining/sitting area and a country style kitchen with wooden units and all the appliances necessary to cook up some tasty meals preferably using some of the incredible local produce that this region is famous for. Note: This property does not accept worker bookings.

Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 3 cars. Large lawned garden with patio area and garden furniture. One well-behaved pet by arrangement. Sorry, no smoking. Nearest supermarket, shops and pubs are >1mile away in Buckie. Note: Although accommodation is all ground floor, this property is not suitable for wheelchair access. Note: The garden is not enclosed. Note: This property does not accept worker bookings.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The attractive old villages of Gardenstown and Pennan are also nearby, as is Cullen, which has one Scotland's largest beaches. Within easy reach of this accommodation, Cullen is a popular destination with families because of its massive beach but also because there's plenty of nature spotting to enjoy. If there's a bird watcher in the family then they'll be pleased to know that the RSPB Reserve in Spey is also in the area. The Moray Firth is also a top place for spotting bottle-nosed dolphins and there are regular dolphin spotting boat excursions on offer throughout the day.

Located in Buckie, this cottage is by the sea. Portsoy Pottery and Elgin Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Speyside Way and Moray Golf Club. Traveling with kids? Consider Portsoy Ice Cream, or check out an event or a game at House of Mulben.
