Prudhoe Castle and Gibside are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Prudhoe Waterworld and De Vere Slaley Hall Golf Course. Life Science Centre and Newcastle-upon-Tyne Discovery Museum are also worth visiting.
