Supermarkets
Albany Road has a number of small supermarkets (Sainsbury's local and Tesco Express) within walking distance. There is also a bakery located in the alley behind the property (Allan's bakery) that is open every day other than Sundays - great freshly baked bread, croissants and pain au chocolate.
Local Restaurants
There are a number of bars and restaurants on Albany Road and Wellfield Road, about five minutes walk from the house. Ichiban (Japanese), Troy (Lebanese), Scaramantica (pizzaria) and Anna Loka (vegan) are all very good.
Local Attractions
Roath Park and lake is nice for a stroll. There are rowing boats for hire, a cafe and ice cream is available to purchase.
Trains
Cardiff Central is a short (ten minutes) taxi journey away. Queen Street station and Cathays Station are both about twenty minutes walk away.
Buses
There are regular buses that run into the city centre down Newport Road. The bus stop is five minutes walk from the house. Alternatively, you can walk into the city centre in about twenty minutes.
