Situated in open countryside on the edge of the historic stone village of Beckington, close to Longleat House & Safari Park and the splendid City of Bath, By The Byre Holiday Lodges is a group of charming self-catering accommodation including 3 eco-friendly, three bedroom cedar lodges.

'Nunney', 'Farleigh' and 'Beckington' are built in a contemporary style and utilise a combination of natural cedar, full height windows and oak flooring. They provide you with a generous master bedroom with master en-suite along with a large double / twin second bedroom and third twin room and a family size bathroom (Sleeps 6 + baby / toddler). There is adequate built-in wardrobe space.

Each self catering lodge has integrated appliances – cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier, providing you with ample space in the open plan living area. Each lodge is fully equipped with a microwave, coffee machine etc. Solar panels and underfloor heating deliver an environmentally friendly holiday experience.

Our lovely self catering lodges are comfortably furnished and include decking overlooking the 3 ponds, quality contemporary furniture, crisp white bed linen and fluffy towels. You'll enjoy some of the latest entertainment with flat screen digital TV's, DVD players and wireless broadband access.

We pride ourselves on being child-friendly and are keenly aware of just the type of equipment that helps make your life easier and like a home-from-home. Wooden cots with good mattresses are available for babies up-to 18months (travel cots for the older babies), along with high chairs, changing mats, toys and books. We have plenty of each item so do let us know before you set off your exact requirements. A selection of outdoor ride-on toys is available and guests are free to roam the grounds and say ‘hello’ to our chickens.

Less than three miles away is the vibrant town of Frome. With its historic buildings and beautiful independent shops, alongside a thriving contemporary arts scene, it has been highlighted as one of the ‘Best Places to Live in Britain’ by The Times. Frome is also the original Somerset Market Town, and this tradition continues today with regular weekly markets and, on the first Sunday of each month during the summer, ‘The Frome Independent’ - a mini festival bringing together the best artisan food and drink, artists and designers, local produce, plants, home wares and street entertainment.
A ten minute drive takes you to the famous Longleat House and Safari Park for which the owners of By The Byre are able to offer their guests a 20% discount on a one day ticket. The splendid Georgian City of Bath with its museums, street cafes, boutiques and Roman baths is 12 miles away, and within easy reach by car are a number of visitor attractions such as Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge and Stonehenge, and historic towns including Bradford on Avon, Glastonbury and Wells.

Located in Frome, this lodge is in a rural area and near theme parks. Orchardleigh House and Nunney Castle are local landmarks, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit Bath Christmas Market and Artisan Quarter. Traveling with kids? Consider Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, or check out an event or a game at Bath Rugby Stadium.
