Peace and quiet in the heart of the Suffolk countryside., Uppertown Wetherden

Suffolk. Sleeps up to 4

This new, luxuriously converted barn is part of Whitehouse Farm, and has all modern amenities. The countryside around here is fantastic for dog walking and for exploring the beautiful town of Bury St. Edmunds. Cambridge and Ipswich are only a short train ride away from the next village. This spot is a beautiful quiet part of Suffolk.

The oak beamed living and dining room is exceptional, with views out over the gardens and surrounding countryside. With large cosy sofa and arm chair to curl up on, plus another sofa that pulls out to create another double bed, this oversized property comfortably sleeps 4 (plus cot if necessary), but is really designed for a great romantic getaway for 2. There are bi-fold doors opening out onto a large patio and garden, whilst the ultra modern kitchen is extremely well equipped with oven, induction hob, extractor, fridge freezer and a dishwasher, as well as toaster and kettle. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine.

The bathroom oozes opulence, with large walk in shower as well as free standing bath. The large bedroom boasts a king size bed, with french doors out onto the garden, with views over the adjacent farmland.

The entire property is on a single level, and has under floor heating throughout to give that extra degree of year round comfort.

Located in Stowmarket, this vacation home is in a rural area. Pakenham Watermill and Rougham Control Tower Aviation Museum are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Bradfield Woods and Knettishall Heath Country Park. Traveling with kids? Consider Cotton Mechanical Music Museum and EmZo.

Explore the East of England

Not only the North Norfolk Coast with its vast beaches like Holkham, and salt marshes at Blakeney and Cley, the East of England offers historic Cambridge, Ely Cathedral, the calm beauty of the Broads, pretty villages of Suffolk and a variety of wildlife.
