Beautiful 1850s detached stone cottage, five minutes walk to two local pubs and community shop, countryside views from the garden, easily accessible to lovely footpaths and cycle routes. Sleeps 4/5. We love staying in our cottage in Winster as it is such a relaxing place to be and have furnished it to be comfortable and inviting. Well behaved pets are welcome - at no extra charge. There is so much to do in this area - Chatsworth, Bakewell, Matlock, Heights of Abraham to name but a few before you even start exploring the exciting countryside around - the White Peak (where Winster is) and the easily accessible Dark Peak. We have enjoyed numerous country walks and cycles - particularly along the fabulous off-road cycle trails that Derbyshire has to offer - the High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail are very near to Winster. It is also only 45 minutes drive to Alton Towers so easily accessible for a day out!
The cottage has no parking but the road outside is very quiet so you can stop outside to unload but then you will need drive to find a space in the village and park on the road.
Located in Matlock, this cottage is in a rural area. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Peak District National Park and Matlock Parks Country Park, while Peak District Mining Museum & Temple Mine and The Grand Pavilion, Matlock Bath are cultural highlights. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Technique Stadium or Wild Park Derbyshire. Explore all the area has to offer with mountain biking and cycling.
