Tir-Cethin consists of 2 luxury barn conversions finished in 2011 and recently graded 5 stars by Visit Wales. The Llaethdy (Dairy) and Beudy (Shed) both sleep up to 7 adults and a baby in a travel cot. The lower floor of both barns consists of an open plan living/dining room/kitchen layout. The barns are heated using a Ground Source Heat Pump which extracts heat from the ground and heats the barns via underfloor heating. The water is heated using solar panels which produce up to 60% of the water needs with the heat pump producing the rest. All the rainwater that falls on the roof is collected into a tank and recycled back into the toilets and washing machines. We are situated in a rural environment on the North Gower, the UKs first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
