Stable Cottage is a bright modern twin bedroom self-catering holiday cottage, set within the walled garden of Woodcroft House, a Victorian sandstone townhouse. In a quiet, Victorian residential street, it is a peaceful and relaxing location, but has the advantage of being just a 5-minute leisurely stroll to the bustle of Ayr town centre! Just along the road, Beresford Terrace has some nice shops, restaurants, and cafés. The nearest supermarket is Morrisons (10 min walk).
It has a large turning circle at the front, where horse and carriage would turn, providing lots of space for private parking right up to the front door. It is a quiet, well-equipped cottage that is perfect for holidays all year round
The cottage has maple wood flooring and no carpets, so it offers a low dust environment. The light, modern kitchen overlooks the lovely walled garden. It has a gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a washing machine, and fridge-freezer. There are a dining table and 4 chairs.
The lounge has two sofas and an armchair. There is a television and a small library of books. The bathroom has a bath, electric shower and shaving point.
Stable Cottage has a fabulous west -facing patio. There are a garden table and chairs, and a barbeque is available on request. The garden is sunny, west facing and peaceful – it overlooks a large colourful wooded organic walled garden with fruit trees (including plums apples & raspberries). It has a variety of birds throughout the year.
Stable Cottage is located beside Woodcroft Cottage (sleeps 4) with interconnecting gardens, making them a good option for larger parties.
Located in Ayr, this vacation home is in a rural area and near theme parks. St. John's Tower and Burns Cottage and Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Belleisle Golf Club and River Ayr Way. LA Bowl and Pirate Pete's Family Entertainment Centre are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
