With highland cows in the fields opposite you won t fail to be charmed by the character of the area. If it s beaches and coastal nooks you want to explore then you will find these in abundance, with the local Shandwick beach only 3 miles away and a fabulous coastal trail to find the Mermaid of the North at Balintore just 2 miles. This peninsula will keep you exploring for days and is great for cycling too. 23 miles north, you can visit the wonderful Dunrobin Castle, a stunning French chateau styled castle overlooking the Moray Firth. This is the most northerly Castle which has been continuously inhabited since the 1300s, and the seat of Clan Sutherland. A stylish and contemporary single storey cottage located on a beautiful multigenerational farm in the Scottish Highlands. Step through into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with high vaulted ceilings and glorious views.
