Galashiels and Melrose are within 20 miles and boast an array of quirky shops, restaurants, friendly inns, art galleries and the historic 12th century Melrose Abbey. The property is within easy reach of the city of Edinburgh (14 miles) with easy access to the city centre using the Park and Ride, or by train from Stow (8 miles), which offers fantastic leisure and shopping facilities, an array of museums, theatres, castles, and heritage sites to explore. The immediate area is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers with numerous country tracks and forest trails to explore. On entering this beautiful home, step into the entrance hall and hang up your coat. Next you ll find the beautiful open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Take in the views of the surrounding countryside through the patio doors that lead out to the decking area. Relax on the comfy seating and enjoy a movie together on the Smart TV. There is a spacious dining area where you can enjoy the scenic views over the countryside whilst enjoying a family meal. The utility cupboard houses the washer/dryer. Heading back up the stairs to the upper level, you have a snug seating area on the landing, perfect to relax with a book. There are also two super king size bedrooms, both with Smart TVs and access to a shower room. Outside, you have access to the decked balcony area with seating and a charcoal BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. There is a private patio area with a hot tub and seating. Enjoy the lawn area and communal woodchipped play park which is perfect for children to play. Take a seat and unwind on return from your day s adventures by the beautiful pond in the middle of the garden.
