Old Chapel, Glentworth Near Ingham

Lincolnshire. Sleeps up to 11

Ingham 3.7 miles. Sitting in the rural village of Glentworth near Ingham and enjoying ample rural walks straight from its door is this stunning converted chapel, Old Chapel. A family-friendly holiday home in Lincolnshire, the property is a unique setting for a group of 11 to celebrate a special occasion, offering spacious living areas, off-road parking, and up to three pets welcome! Old Chapel has been thoughtfully renovated and retains much of the original features throughout; be immediately welcomed by the warmth of underfloor heating and make your way to the spacious kitchen/diner. Set the large table for 11 with a bottle fresh from the wine cooler, whilst the group's chef uses the fabulous range cooker to prepare an even-ing meal; open the bi-fold doors on the summer evenings to let the outside in! Let the dishwasher do the cleaning up and retire to the sitting room, an inviting space with cushioned seating, a Smart TV and a woodburning stove for added comfort. Completing the ground floor are two handy bathrooms, one of which is a shower room, and the other being a cloakroom, to freshen up before stepping out! Musical guests can provide entertainment on the grand piano, whilst the second floor hosts a spectacular games room. Play a game of pool or watch a film on the Smart TV in a beautiful setting with fairy lights, a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and the original chapel window for a truly special hideaway; you can admire the surrounding country-side from two Juliet balconies! After fun-filled days exploring the area, locate the gorgeous bath-room with eye-catching blue tiles to soak in the freestanding tub, whilst your towel toasts on the heated towel rail. Five bedrooms are located on the first floor, each lovingly furnished, including an impressive super-king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two further super-king-sizes, a king-size and a single, whilst another king-size rests on the ground floor. In the morning, make a coffee using the coffee machine and step out into your very own garden, fully enclosed and pet-friendly for your dog to stretch their legs, plenty to keep you entertained, from garden games and a fire pit, to a barbecue and a hot tub; your evenings in the garden are sorted! Aviation fans will be pleased to know that Old Chapel rests a short distance from RAF Scampton, so The Red Arrows can be seen practising from the property - they even fly over sometimes! If you can tear yourself away from your unique holiday home, Ingham is home to The Inn On The Green gastropub, as well as a mini market to stock up the cupboards; after tucking into a tasty meal at the pub or at the property, why not embark on a hike around Fillingham Lake? Be sure to visit Kirton Lindsey, a market town resting moments’ away and offering a great range of convenience stores, a friendly pub, The George, along with Chinese & Indian takeaways. Spend the day in the historic city of Lincoln to marvel at the medieval cathedral, visit the Museum of Lincolnshire Life or picnic in Arboretum, a 19th-century park with a Victorian bandstand. Nature lovers can wander the nearby Hartsholme Country Park or Whisby Nature Park, a stunning expanse of lakes and grassland. If you've come for a countryside escape, be sure to embark on a ramble across Lincolnshire Wolds AONB; popular for walking and cycling, you'll find unspoilt countryside and scenic hills, perfect for family walks with the dogs! For special occasions and spending quality time with loved ones, choose Old Chapel for your family-friendly holiday in the countryside.
