Hardings cottage, Minehead

Exmoor. Sleeps up to 2

Settled in the heart of the popular seaside resort of Minehead, on the coast of Somerset, rests this wonderful single-storey holiday home, Hardings Cottage. Enjoying close proximity to a host of must-see sights and attractions, including the glistening waters of the Bristol Channel, and the rolling moorlands of Exmoor National Park, Hardings Cottage is an idyllic base from which to explore the delights of this sought-after area. A pleasant open-plan living space greets you upon arrival into your new home-from-home, thoughtfully laid-out with a sumptuous sofa an armchair gathered in front of the television, enticing you to kick off your shoes and enjoy your favourite show as it plays on the screen. A well-equipped kitchen can be found tucked away in the corner of the sociable space, where the designated chef can utilise the electric oven and hob to prepare a romantic meal for two to be enjoyed over candlelight at the nearby dining table, or outdoors in the intimate setting of the pint-sized courtyard. Four steps lead into the well-presented king-size bedroom, where you can wash away the day with a quick rinse in the handy en-suite before snuggling up under the covers with your better half. Take advantage of your coastal location and spend lazy afternoons lounging on the golden sands of Minehead Beach or indulge in the seaside tradition of fresh fish and chips as you savour a scenic stroll along the esplanade. Refuel with a bite to eat and a view across the picture-perfect harbour at The Old Ship Aground, or if that's not to your taste, head to the bustling high-street to find a wealth of eateries to choose from. The National Trust's Dunster Castle is well worth a visit whilst you're in the area, with a history dating back to the 12th-century, whilst the vibrant grounds of Dunster Village Garden are a tranquil spot for a stroll. For a change of scenery, venture further inland and embark on a two-footed adventure through the varying terrains of the Exmoor National Park, where outdoor enthusiasts can climb to the summit of Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in Exmoor. Escape to the coast with a retreat to Hardings Cottage.
