Westfield, an end-terrace cottage is a real home from home found on North Marine Road on Flamborough Head in The East Riding of Yorkshire. This area is the best kept secret for natural beauty and wealth of interesting features in the country. With the delights of the Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast nearby, this pet-friendly dwelling is close to amenities and beaches and welcomes a group or family of six. This inviting cottage built in the 1800’s welcomes you home with a bright, well-equipped kitchen which has everything you need for home-cooking, as well as a washing machine and dishwasher. Doubling up as a dining space and games room, the dining table for six turns into a full-size professional pool table complete with cues and balls etc for after-dinner games. When it's time to relax, settle into the leather seats of the sitting area, complete with a TV for entertainment. Up on the first floor, you'll find two beautifully appointed bedrooms one king and one double with wooden furnishings. The second floor accessed by a small staircase is a real hide hole and hosts bunk beds ideal for older kids or adventurous adults. Start your mornings in the stylish bathroom with a bath, shower over, and heated towel rail, with a separate toilet next door. Flamborough village is just a short walk away and has a good selection of small shops and a supermarket. When you fancy a break from the kitchen there is a wide selection of pubs, takeaways, and restaurants to suit very taste, which can be found along North Marine Road or wander into Flamborough village where the Royal dog and duck is one of three pubs all offering excellent food and don’t forget to enjoy a relaxing BBQ in the walled patio garden. North Marine Road leads to North Landing with a delightful cove and caves, just one of many beaches which can be explored. The old lifeboat station is now a quaint café ideal for a welcome break. Walk or drive around the headland to South Landing where you can enjoy Flamborough Head Golf Club, old and new Flamborough Lighthouses, or venture along the coastal path to spot The Drinking Dinosaur! The area is famous for its extensive wildlife with Puffins along the cliffs in the summer along with seals and dolphins often spotted from North Landing. For keen birdwatchers, FRSPB Bempton Cliffs is a must for scenic views, nature trails, and wildlife. Jump in the car and head to Bridlington to discover local history at The Bayle Museum, catch a performance in the Edwardian Bridlington Spa, and stroll along the sands of Bridlington South Beach with your dog. Find more sandy beaches in Fraisthorpe to the south and Filey and Scarborough to the north. Do you like historic houses, you will be spoilt for choice with Sledmere, Sewerby and Burton Agnes to name but a few and there are Animal Parks and loads of things for the kids to do. Check out World of Rock at Bridlington. If you'd prefer an outdoor or more sporty adventure away from the hustle and bustle, The Coastal Path or The Wolds Way for walking is a must and the Way of the Roses is a cycle route starting from Bridlington to Lancaster. The North Riding Forest Park offers hiking and cycle paths, while the North York Moors National Park is scattered with historic remains, walks, and traditional villages and boasts the world-famous North York’s Railway. Why not treat yourselves to a train ride to Whitby? You'll be left wishing your stay at Westfield was longer, there is so much to see and do.
