Cove House, Kinmel Bay

Clwyd. Sleeps up to 4

Tucked away in the small welsh village of Kinmel Bay in North Wales, is this charming, detached bungalow, Cove House. Enjoying a beachfront location and sleeping up to four guests, Cove House is the perfect setting for a small family or group of friends to relish in a coastal retreat. Arriving at the property, a convenient off-road parking space will greet you along with a neat front garden with seating, perfect for sipping on your morning coffee and watching the world go by. Be welcomed into the spacious open-plan living area, where you can look forward to conjuring up a delicious feast in the well-equipped kitchen, with handy washing machine for popping those sandy clothes on a spin! Settle down around the dining table and tuck-in to a delicious meal as you discuss plans for the days ahead. Retire to the generous corner sofa with a glass of wine and select your favourite film to watch on the Smart TV with soundbar, as the SMEG electric fire adds a warmth and glow to the space. As your eyes grow heavy, head to one of two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a small double, both with charming nautical touches, to catch your rest in. Wake-up and pour in the bubbles as you indulge in a soak in the bath, before joining your guests out on the enclosed private garden for an alfresco breakfast. After a day at the beach, why not fire up the barbecue and treat your guests to evening drinks? Venture into the local village, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic promenade which will lead you down to the glorious sands of Sandy Cove, where you can grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby eateries, beachcombe the shores or build sandcastles with the little ones. Head to the bustling resort of Rhyl, where you will find a historic miniature railway which offers children rides around the picturesque Marine Lake, as well as the fun-filled SC2 Rhyl, a fantastic leisure centre with a host of activities, including a swimming pool, slides and Ninja Tag. Don’t forget to make a stop at the SeaQuarium Rhyl, which hosts a wide variety of marine life and sealion shows throughout the day. Take the short drive to the nearby market town of Abergele, home to the historic Gwrych Castle, which featured on the hit ITV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and offers expansive views and beautiful gardens which house a giant chessboard to be explored. Just a short walk away from the castle is the charming family-run Manorafon Farm, where you can meet and feed a selection of sweet farm animals, a great day to spend with the children. However, you choose to spend your time in North Wales, be sure to choose Cove House as your home-from-home.
