The history buffs of the group will be pleased with a trip to the stunning city of Lincoln, where the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, the Norman fortress of Lincoln Castle and The Collection all make for a great outing; the city is home to so much more to see, from the beautiful Arboretum park and West Common, to the Lincoln Marina and Steep Hill. There are also great attractions to visit just outside of the city, including the independent Doddington Hall with award winning farm shop and cafe, the 100 acres of Hartsholme Country Park and the Whisby Nature Reserve where the Natural World Centre can be found. For antique and vintage buffs the property is a short drive to Hemswell Antiques centre, with regular antique fairs being held in Newark, a thirty minute drive away.
