Jimmy’s Place, Pulham Market

Suffolk. Sleeps up to 2

From the humble beginnings of a cowshed on the family farm, Jimmy's Place has been transformed into a romantic retreat for two perched in the rural, Norfolk village of Pulham Market. Owing its name to the owner's grandad who originally built the farm, Jimmy's Place is a perfect East Anglia touring base, within reach of The Broads, Great Yarmouth, Thetford Forest Park and Suffolk. Enjoy returning to the open-plan living space after an action-packed day to relax with your other half, beginning the prep for your evening meal in the excellent fitted kitchen, amply equipped for its size, you can find all you need here to rustle up delicious dishes, with the addition of a washing machine too. Dine at the dining table and chairs for two perched by the window, or delight in an alfresco dining experience in your own private garden with a pretty bistro set, great for the summer months! Back inside, you can pick up a book from the shelf and get lost in another world while sinking into the sofa, or flick on the TV and watch a favourite film together for a tranquil end to the day. Head through to the lovely bedroom when it's time to rest, finding a king-size bed amidst an array of matching furniture, including a pretty dressing table, with an adjoining en-suite shower room for you to freshen up in. Pulham Market is regarded as one of the prettiest villages in Norfolk and is home to a picture-perfect village green surrounded by thatched cottages, a medieval church and a centuries-old alehouse, with all this just a few minutes' walk from Jimmy's Place. The surrounding area is great for countryside walks with other popular walking spots within easy reach by car, including the famous Norfolk Broads, with opportunities for walking, cycling and even kayaking and canoeing along the waterways. Visit the amazing World Horse Welfare Hall Farm and meet the beautiful horses taking residence here, with around 120 horses cared for at any one time, you can walk around the farm and afterwards enjoy a treat at the on-site coffee shop.
