The interiors of the property are reflective of Charlotte, Emily, Anne and their brother Branwell and the 19th Century period during which they lived. Be welcomed into the galley kitchen as you enter the front door, where the décor will immediately wow you with William Morris wallpaper and stylish subway tiling; this compact space is well-equipped with all the quality, essential appliances for a self-catered stay. Head through to the living/dining room following a day of adventure to find a beautiful Chesterfield sofa to relax on, an armchair, and a woodburning stove within an ornate fireplace, with a TV and more thoughtful decoration from the Pre-Raphaelite movement. You will find a history of Emerald Cottage through time from 1890, so you can understand the provenance of your accommodation, and also a biography for each Brontë sister and Branwell. Take the stairs up to the first floor to find the first bedroom, this one named after Charlotte Brontë, boasting a pretty set of single beds with a feature fireplace adding further character, along with a wall-mounted TV. Discover a shower room on this floor too with a wonderful feature basin and a walk-in shower to feel refreshed in.
