Offering four guests a fabulous base for walking and visiting the lovely nearby towns and villages, Emerald Cottage is perfect for a couple or small group of friends. The interiors of the property are reflective of Charlotte, Emily, Anne and their brother Branwell and the 19th Century period during which they lived. Be welcomed into the galley kitchen as you enter the front door, where the décor will immediately wow you with William Morris wallpaper and stylish subway tiling; this compact space is well-equipped with all the quality, essential appliances for a self-catered stay. Head through to the living/dining room following a day of adventure to find a beautiful Chesterfield sofa to relax on, an armchair, and a woodburning stove within an ornate fireplace, with a TV and more thoughtful decoration from the Pre-Raphaelite movement. You will find a history of Emerald Cottage through time from 1890, so you can understand the provenance of your accommodation, and also a biography for each Brontë sister and Branwell. Take the stairs up to the first floor to find the first bedroom, this one named after Charlotte Brontë, boasting a pretty set of single beds with a feature fireplace adding further character, along with a wall-mounted TV. Discover a shower room on this floor too with a wonderful feature basin and a walk-in shower to feel refreshed in. A further set of stairs lead to the second-floor master bedroom where a king-size bed awaits beneath the sloping ceiling, with Velux windows offering picture views of the rolling hills over the village and more antique furnishings decorate the space, with a wall-mounted TV here too. A small patio to the side of the property means you can soak up the village surroundings with your morning coffee, while balmy summer evenings can be enjoyed with a refreshing drink before heading to one of Haworth's restaurants. Discover a wonderful selection of eateries in this small setting, with a pub just outside the village called Wuthering Heights being a definite must-visit for fans of the book and author, while a host of shops offer all the self-catering essentials as well as some fantastic curiosity and antique shops, perfect for picking up a holiday memento! Embark on some beautiful walks from the doorstep around Haworth and the surrounding countryside, with a popular walk heading out of the village and onto the moors to find Brontë Waterfall Brontë Bridge and Top Withens.
