Surrounded by the luscious green landscapes of the Somerset countryside, with incredible views across to Brent Knoll, this characterful cottage is the perfect retreat for avid walkers or a small family of four. Enter into a traditional country-style kitchen with attractive oak cabinets and an abundance of appliances, sure to inspire many mouth-watering meals throughout your stay. Just a few steps away, a welcoming sitting/dining room can be found hosting two plush sofas arranged around a sleek flat-screen TV with DVD Player, and a large wooden dining table where you can delight in a delicious feast with loved ones. Fling open the patio doors and step out into the garden, a wonderful space to bask in the sunshine as you delight in a large glass of wine and unwind with your favourite book. Back inside, an airy shower and handy cloakroom can be found serving two restful bedrooms comprised of a double and a twin. Resting right on your doorstep, the village of Mark is home to a bustling local pub and quintessential village store selling all of the essentials of a smooth-sailing self-catering stay, an imposing ancient church. Just a stone’s throw away, the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea is filled with vast stretches of golden beaches and boasts an idyllic red and white lighthouse and a large golf course featuring spectacular views of the coast. Spend the day in the breathtaking Apex Leisure & Wildlife Park, where you can spot ducks as they rest on the lakes. If you are a fan of birdwatching be sure to visit Westhay, Hamwall, Shapwick, Steart Marshes Nature Reserve. Those travelling with children should be sure to visit Animal Park Adventure Park, whilst keen walkers will relish in a day in the Mendip Hills and will be rewarded with superb views of the Polden Hills, Cheddar Gorge and the Bristol Channel.
