The Chapel St Leonards area has something for everybody, a 5-minute stroll from the bungalow brings you to the North Sea Observatory with its licensed Seascape Café, here you can enjoy food and drink whilst taking in the amazing views of sea, sky and coast. Going south from the observatory, the promenade gives a traffic-free route to the village centre with its Co-op store, village green, shops, cafes, pubs, eateries, takeaways and amusement arcade, close by are Hardy's Animal Farm, an indoor trampoline park and Lakeside Leisure complex offering family fun from fishing lakes to boat and quad bike hire, Fantasy Island amusement park at Ingoldmells is within easy reach. If you go North from the Observatory there are miles of quiet, sandy, dog-friendly beaches, this stretch of coast makes up the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, which incorporates many wildlife havens, the England Coast Path, picnic spots and glorious walks, you may be lucky enough to see a Marsh harrier gliding over the reed beds and you can investigate the unusual 'Structures on the Edge', art-led installations at Anderby Creek and Chapel Six Marshes. Branching further afield you can take a day trip to the nearby lively town of Skegness and enjoy the Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, or perhaps venture into the opposite direction for a day at the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to take in some of the best scenery you will find in this beautiful area of the country.
