Wander through woodlands along the pretty River Rothay and uncover the cascading waters of Stock Ghyll Force, before setting about on an enthralling hike to through Wansfell Pike. See the ancient remains of the enchanting Ambleside Roman Fort or continue up to the village of Rydal for a tour of the former home of William Wordsworth at Rydal Mount and Gardens. You can also learn of the late poet’s life at the museum of Wordsworth Grasmere, before stopping by the idyllic tea garden of Faeryland and taking a row boat out onto the waters.
