Comfortable Detached House with Mountain and Meadow views, Argyll

Argyll. Sleeps up to 6

Old Tynribbie House was built in the late 18th Century and has been refurbished into a comfortable 2 storey, 4-bedroom family home.
The house is situated in the heart of the West Coast of Scotland, in the village of Appin in Argyll on the A828 opposite the Port Appin junction.
The house comprises of a comfortable living room, a large family kitchen, 3 small double rooms, a twin bedroom, a shower room and a bathroom.
On arrival you will walk through the front door into a tiled hall area. Downstairs off the hall is a small double room and a twin room and a family shower room. A wooden spiral staircase takes you to a mezzanine floor upstairs which overlooks the lounge below. Upstairs there is a small double room to the front and a second small double room to the rear with a Jack and Jill bathroom which can be used as an en-suite or dual use – which ever works best for your family.
The living room is comfortable with a leather sofa and occasional chairs and an amazing feature wall and dramatic ceiling. Also, in the living area is the main TV with Sky along with a wood burner - which is great on a cold winter’s day.
The hub of the house as got to be the kitchen; this is our favourite place to be as it becomes central to everything going on in the day. The kitchen has an iconic barn style theme which always feels warm and welcoming with a large dining table. The kitchen is fitted with everything you need including a washing machine and a dish washer. French doors from the kitchen lead to the patio area with views of the meadow and Beinn Donn. There is a large family patio style table and chairs.
Old Tynribbie House is a great central point to base yourself to visit all that Argyll, the Isles and surrounding areas have to offer. The cycle path from Oban to Fort William is right on your doorstep which makes cycling and walking a great option when spending time exploring, or why not take the 2.5 mile journey down to Port Appin where you can catch the foot passenger ferry to the lovely small island of Lismore.

* Long weekends / Short Stays can be arranged. Please email directly for availability and pricing.
