Enjoying a private position within the grounds of the owner’s home is Milford Tree Tops, a delightful studio-style accommodation set over the first floor. With its lovely hillside location and set in open countryside, this property is perfect for a solo traveller or a couple to explore the delights of Shropshire, with a plethora of walks available on the doorstep. From your off-road parking space, venture through the beautifully-presented garden before discovering your temporary home. Climb the couple of steps before finding the open-plan living space, containing everything you could possibly need for a self-catering getaway. Here, there is a compact kitchen area, where you can rustle up some tasty snacks and a dining table, where you can map out the next day’s hiking route or toast to a fabulous holiday with your partner. Continuing through the open-plan space find two plush armchairs that are awaiting to be curled up in at the end of a bracing day, with a TV for entertainment and an electric log burner effect fire for additional warmth in the winter evenings. Concluding the interior is a sumptuous double bed and a sleek shower room, featuring a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Outside, find a small patio area, where table and chairs offers an alternative space for a spot of alfresco dining, with the gardens and countryside beyond to admire. If you can tear yourself away from this small oasis, head into the nearby town of Ludlow and Craven Arms, where you will find plenty of supermarkets and small/private businesses where you can pick up treats, and plenty of pubs and restaurant when you want to linger over a pint one evening. Just a short distance away from Craven Arms is Stokesay Castle, which is a fine example of medieval fortified manor house, with a chapel, garden and moat walk to discover. Other historical attractions include the National Trust properties of Croft Castle and Parkland, Berrington Hall, Dudmaston and Brockhampton Estate, which lies slightly further afield. Alternatively, spend an afternoon exploring the market town of Ludlow, home to a larger collection of amenities, as well as the magnificent 12th century Norman castle, where you can uncover hidden rooms or visit the market or catch a concert. Much Wenlock, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth are also within half hours drive and offer beautiful and interesting vistas as well as more amenities to delight. Avid ramblers will be spoilt for choice by the walks and trails that await them in the Shropshire Hills Area of Natural Beauty, including the famous Offa’s Dyke Path, which enjoys a diverse landscape and history to uncover. With all of this and much more, secure your stay at Milford Tree Tops and look forward to a holiday to beautiful Shropshire.
