For those who enjoy history, the ancient, walled city of York is just a short drive away, where you can explore the cobbled streets, visit the JORVIK Viking Centre or enjoy the National Railway Museum. The magnificent Castle Howard is also within easy reach. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy the many tracks and trails from the doorstep, and the Howardian Hills and North York Moors provide stunning scenery. Stepping into this lovely cottage, you are greeted by a beamed open plan lounge/kitchen/diner: the ideal place to cosy up on the sofa and watch a movie on the Smart TV in front of the electric wood burner effect fire. Sit at the breakfast bar whilst your partner rustles up a meal in the farmhouse kitchen, fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, and washer/dryer. The large double bedroom enjoys French doors leading out to the patio, which fills the room with light, and has an en suite shower room with WC. Externally, you will find a private, enclosed patio area with furniture, perfect for sitting out and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The owner also provides disposable BBQs for al fresco dining. Guests are also welcome to use the owners' beautiful farmhouse gardens, courtyard, and picnic area. There is ample off road parking and secure storage for bicycles.
