For walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, there are numerous trails across the Goyt Valley, Kinder Scout and Edale, and for those seeking something a little more challenging, the beginning of the Pennine Way is nearby. Why not take a trip and explore the four show caves at Castleton: Peak Cavern, Speedwell Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Mine. The stunning Chatsworth House, gardens and farm shop is 16.5 miles away and also worth a visit. And, the popular towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Ashbourne are within easy reach from the property. Step into the hallway which offers plenty of space to store coats and boots and wander through to the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen offers everything you need to rustle up a satisfying meal during your stay including an electric oven and induction hob, a fridge with an ice compartment, and a dishwasher. Relax on the comfy sofa whilst watching the Smart TV/DVD by the floor to ceiling windows overlooking some lovely mature trees. The king size bedroom offers a wonderful space to get a good night s rest with a king size bed and matching bedroom furniture. Exposed stone sneaks through the plaster to show some of the barn s original character. In the shower room take an invigorating shower to get ready for the day's activity ahead, also with a WC. To the front of the cottage is a small bistro set, perfect for sitting with a good cup of tea and enjoying the sounds of the wildlife and rustling trees. Heading into the shared mature gardens, there is a seating area with BBQ next to a babbling stream. Off road parking is provided for one car on a level gravel driveway within the gated area. Another car may be parked off road on a gravel area at the lane side of the main gate.
