A luxurious detached barn set on a 175 acre family working farm in the heart of Devon, is a perfect getaway for a family of group of friends. On rainy days, Barnstaple is just a short drive away and offers a range of amenities, from theatre, cinema, bowling, a pannier market, high street shops as well as a wide range of bars and restaurants. If you want to spend a day at the beach surfing or exploring secluded coves, the coast is within easy reach. For outdoor lovers, both Exmoor and Dartmoor are nearby and offer great walks, beautiful scenery, wildlife and pretty moorland villages. There are also a wide range of leisure facilities nearby which include swimming pools, golf courses, tennis, horse riding, fishing and health and beauty spas. There are also a huge range of National Trust properties and gardens in the area, from Arlington Court to Lydford Gorge. This spacious barn conversion, which still retains much of its original charm and features. Upstairs it offers four bedrooms, one king size with an en suite shower room with WC, one double bedroom, a twin room with zip and link beds (which can be presented as a king size by request) and one bunk bedroom. There is also family bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. Downstairs, the cosy lounge has a woodburner, TV/DVD with an adjoining dining room which overlooks the garden. If you prefer to stay in and cook than go out, the well equipped kitchen has a range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The property also has a utility room with a washing machine and extra shower room with WC. Outside is an enclosed garden patio with a Wendy house, BBQ and a range of family activities such as bowls and a croquet set. Guests are also welcome to explore the farm and enjoy the range of lovely walks and footpaths which cross the land. Ample parking for four cars is available outside the cottage.
