Finchingfield is a picture perfect, chocolate box village in North Essex where you are spoilt for choice with a variety of places to eat and drink including traditional pubs, fine dining restaurants and tea rooms. If you do decide to head out for the day then you also have plenty of places within easy reach including the beautiful medieval market town of Saffron Walden just 13 miles away, or the market town of Clare only 9 miles away with a host of independent shops, antique shops and a further choice of culinary delights. 20 miles away is the widely recognised birthplace of thoroughbred horse racing, Newmarket. After parking at the back of the property, walk in through the rear door into the rear lobby,this is the perfect place to kick off those walking boots and hang up your coats this is also the utility area with a washer/dryer, walk through to the rest of this wonderful property, which boasts many original features with exposed beams and tasteful artwork throughout. As you walk through into the hallway to your right is the first lounge known as the Gold Room which provides a perfect place to relax, perhaps with a book or simply your thoughts whilst you fire up the wood burner and cosy up on the sofa or either one of two armchairs. There is also a Smart TV. Down the hallway and to the right hand side is the second lounge area which boasts glorious garden views and features another wood burner, two large sofas and two armchairs which surround a Smart TV. Back out into the hallway and to the right is the spacious open plan kitchen/diner, which has another wood burner, and has been carefully designed with socialising in mind. It is equipped with a Rangemaster oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a sofa and an island with four stools where you can enjoy your morning coffee. Tuck into delicious homemade meals over at the dining table which can seat up to 10 guests and even features a small bar area with a range of complimentary drinks to accompany your meal. Upstairs on the first floor are three bedrooms, all of which have plenty of storage space for your belongings and each has a super king size bed. Two of the bedrooms have their own en suite shower rooms and WC and the remaining bedroom has use of a family bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Open up the bi fold doors and gather around on the comfortable garden furniture while you enjoy some cocktails and a spot of al fresco dining,Outside there is a large patio area with a Bushcbeck BBQ and a smoker, relax whilst watching the sunset over the open fields surrounded by the resident miniature donkeys and Shetland ponies. Keep an eye out for wildlife which can been seen on a regular basis including barn owls, roe deer, hares, wagtails, red kites and buzzards. You can help yourself to seasonal fruit and vegetable grown in the kitchen garden. A short walk from the cottage is the shack located within the vineyard this provides additional outside space for dining and drinks with countryside views. There is plenty of private parking for up to three cars. Please note this property is on a working farm. Wood fired hot tub available from 1st December 2021
