This pretty lodge is within a thirty minute drive of King Arthur s Tintagel with its English Heritage managed castle, Castle Beach and of course, the atmospheric Merlin s Cave, said to have been home to legendary wizard and accessible to visitors at low tide. For those wanting to explore more of what North Cornwall has to offer, the resort town of Bude, with its number of beaches and tidal pool is within a half an hour drive, whilst The Eden Project is also well worth a visit. The lodge is the perfect base for a quiet Cornish break and guests will feel thoroughly relaxed here, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the main road the property is accessed via a farm track. The ground floor open plan living space is what you would expect from a Scandinavian style lodge: cosy and comfortable. In the lounge area, guests will find a TV, DVD, and flame effect electric fire, perfect for keeping the chill off during the winter months. The adjacent kitchen area is well equipped with an electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, espresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining table seats four and is perfect for evenings in socialising. Heading upstairs there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin, whilst the downstairs bathroom benefits from a shower over the bath and WC. Outside there is a wooden veranda with views across the farmland and distant views to Bodmin. The decked area benefits from an outdoor dining table where you can enjoy the morning sun with a coffee. There is also a children s play area shared with the other lodge and shared lawn areas. Guests can, of course, explore the local surroundings which include country walks and a fishing lake, which guests are able to take advantage of too. There is ample off road parking just next to the accommodation.
