Barn in Dorset, Weymouth

Dorset. Sleeps up to 2

Located in the tranquil village of Upwey and set on a small holding with sheep and chickens, this property offers a wide network of walking and cycling routes from the doorstep, which weave through spectacular countryside, as well as the convenience of nearby Weymouth and its many attractions. This traditional seaside town has a sandy beach backed by shops, cafés and restaurants. The historic harbour is also well worth a visit, where you can take a boat trip or try your hand at fishing. The area is also rich in history, being home to the Victorian Nothe Fort and ancient ruins of the cliffside Sandsfoot castle. Why not take a trip to Portland, with its traditional lighthouse and stunning 16th century castle? Or explore the rugged pebble swathes of Chesil beach. Tucked back from a shared driveway, this single storey property is accessed via a level path from the parking area. There is a level access into the welcoming entrance hall, with an attractive light and airy double bedroom to be found on the right. Heading left will bring you into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This contemporary open plan space has been cleverly thought out and offers a stylish lounge area with Smart TV and a well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. There is space to enjoy leisurely meals just opposite. There is a useful utility cupboard with a washing machine and between the hallway and the kitchen area is a contemporary shower room with level access shower and WC. Taking the door from the lounge area or heading back through the hallway leads you into the garden, which has a patio space with furniture and a lawn planted with established shrubs and trees to provide privacy. An off road parking space is available to the front of the property.
