This handsome, stone built cottage is close to local woodland and the River Coquet. Located close to a range of shops, restaurants and pubs in Rothbury village, benefitting from its many walking and cycle routes. Just over half an hour's drive away is the market town of Alnwick and its majestic castle. Alnmouth, Craster and Bamburgh can also be found along the Heritage Coastline. The location of the cottage also offers access to the Dark Skies National Park, Europe's largest area of protected sky. The cottage is located close to woodland, so there's plenty of choice when it comes to walking and cycle routes, both of which will allow you to embrace the beauty that surrounds the cottage. There are two pubs within a five minute walk of the cottage, so you can enjoy evenings out as well as cosy nights in. The cottage maintains its historic charm thanks to the retained stone built walls and features. On entering the property, you'll find the lounge on the ground floor has a stone floor with underfloor heating, a wall mounted TV/DVD for those cosy nights in. The kitchen is home to a feature fireplace and is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A dining table is situated in the kitchen, so that you can enjoy delicious meals next to the stunning fireplace. On the ground floor there is one bedroom a double as well as a bathroom with shower over the bath, a wash basin and WC. Moving up to the first floor, you'll find two bedrooms a double and a twin both with sloping ceilings and original beams. The cottage features a private enclosed garden with a table and chairs, so you can enjoy a quiet drink in the evening or during the warmer months, an evening of al fresco dining surrounded by the picturesque surroundings and breath taking views of the Coquet River. Off road parking is available at the cottage.
