Walk alongside cows and horses which roam freely from May to November and take refreshment in one of the historic inns (including The Old Lodge, 10 minutes walk from the cottage across the common, reputed to have been Henry VIII’s hunting lodge), and Winstone’s Ice Cream Factory, wonderfully ideal for the summer months. The area is a haven for cyclists with hundreds of miles of virtually traffic-free lanes through the stunning rolling hills of Gloucestershire and guests who bring their own bikes can store them securely in the lockable courtyard.
