Pickering rests just below the North York Moors National Park, so it's an ideal base for avid walkers who want to enjoy the outdoors and beautiful landscapes throughout the day, but have plenty of choice of amenities and restaurants in the evening. Discover Go Ape in Dalby Forest where a treetop adventure rope trail makes for an exciting day trip, test your limits and swing through the trees among the forest canopy. Flamingo Land Resort is just south of Pickering and is a family-friendly theme park with rollercoasters, rides and a host of animals.
