Blackrock Boathouse makes a wonderful holiday destination right on the sea front at Dale beach in Pembrokeshire. Dale is well known for it's watersports with sailing and windsurfing being very popular pastimes. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined right on the doorstep and begs to be walked. At the far end of the bay is St Anne's Head and its lighthouse, which guides ships into Milford Haven. This self contained apartment is a magical place to stay with views of Dale beach and the rock pools just below the boathouse. You can take a boat trip from nearby Martins Haven to the islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm where you can see numerous breeds of birds, depending on the time of year, including puffins, gannets, Manx shearwaters and choughs. Marloes beach is nearby and well worth a trip. The Griffin pub (500 metres walk from the boathouse) serves good food (seasonal). There is a popular surfers cafe which serves great breakfasts and hot chocolate.
