It is world famous for its stunning cliff top scenery and the freshest sea air. In spring the path is strewn with an abundance of wildflowers and throughout the year both the scenery and wildlife are something to behold Lamphey Court SpaSpoil yourself with a visit to this luxury Spa. Just 3 miles away, Lamphey Court offers a choice of revitalising treatments as well as a tennis court, swimming pool, gym and sauna. South Pembrokeshire Beaches From Pembroke, it is a short drive to the beaches in the south of the county - sheltered hidden coves, superb Blue Flag sandy beaches and small harbours all linked by the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Angle Bay, Freshwater West, Broad Haven South, Barafundle, Freshwater East, Swanlake, Manorbier and Tenby are to name a few. Angle The Old Point House Inn has been sitting beside the water at East Angle Bay for over 500 years. Remote but well worth tracking down. The pub has been the lifeboat men's local since 1868 - enjoy refreshments and good food with stunning views over the Angle Bay. Chapel Bay Fort and Museum A military fortress, museum and cafe located within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park at Angle, Pembrokeshire. Very informative Tours of the Forts History. Restoration and larger military artefacts and more to see in the Museum. Wavecrest Cafe A ‘gem’ in Angle Bay' - a truly unique beachside location with fantastic views of the bay and coastal path. Excellent choice of freshly prepared food with daily blackboard specials, homemade cakes, local beers and cider, freshly ground coffees and the crab sandwiches are a delight! The cafe offers a beach take away and for Sunday lunch it is advisable to book a table in advance. St Govan's Chapel A fascinating place to visit. A tiny hermits cell tucked into the cliffs and one of the most picturesque sixth-century chapels in Britain. The chapel is named after the hermit and saint who lived there and legend has it, if you count the steps down and up again, the number is never the same! Bosherston and the Lily Ponds (NT) Bosherston is a tiny village with a pub St Govans Inn and ‘Ye Olde World Tearoom' with a menu unchanged for over 50 years! From here fishing permits for the Lily Ponds are available. Follow the footpath through the Lily Ponds which leads to stunning Broad Haven South Beach (NT) with the famous ‘ Church Rock’ in the bay. Tenby and Caldey Island A very popular Victorian seaside resort with 5 glorious sandy beaches (Blue Flag) and a picture-postcard harbour. Explore the Medieval towns narrow cobbled streets filled with bustling individual shops, boutiques, bars, Ice Cream Parlours, cafes and restaurants. The Tudor Merchants House (NT) and Tenby Museum, located high on Castle Hill are both well worth a visit. Head down to the harbour where boat trips run to the holy island of Caldey - owned and run by a community of Cistercian monks and an oasis of calm where you can watch seabirds or relax on beautiful Priory Bay beach. Inland Pembrokeshire Narberth - a lovely market town in the heart of Pembrokeshire with a variety of very good eateries - try 'Ultracomeda' for tapas or 'Fire and Ice' for delicious homemade ice creams and sorbets. Lawrenny Quay - one of the most scenic stretches of the Secret Waterway, providing a tranquil location for boaters and walkers alike. Enjoy a drink at the waterside pub, The Lawrenny Arms. Cwm Deri Vineyard - Pembrokeshire's only vineyard and open all year round. Visitors can enjoy tasting wines and liqueurs on the patio or in the restaurant which is open for lunch seven days a week. Pembrokeshire Outdoor Activities Pembrokeshire Wake Boarding in Martletwy offers the thrills of Wakeboarding in a fun atmosphere with excellent coaching from all the staff. Learn to sail or windsurf, try kayaking, paddle boarding, climbing or coasteering. The sport of Coasteering was named if not invented, in Pembrokeshire and our coastline is the perfect coasteering venue! Visit West Wales Windsurfing – Dale for tuition in water sports of all sorts. Helmets and bikes come with pumps, repair kits, basic tool kits along with a delivery service of bicycles right to your front door!Picton Castle and Secret Owl Gardens Picton Castle was built in the 13th Century and set in 40 acres of magnificent woodland and walled gardens - Look out for special events, including family fun days, outdoor theatre, garden tours and music evenings. The Secret Owl Garden is home to 25 species of owl. Throughout the day all of the owls get the opportunity to stretch their wings and fly around the centre. Join interactive sessions where you can learn about the owls and their superpowers including silent flight, super hearing and special eye colours.
