Parrog beach is just down the road and a great favourite with children, boating enthusiasts or those who want to simply take time out to enjoy the glorious view. Parrog beach is dog friendly, as is the coastal path. The larger beach of Newport sands (Traeth Mawr) can be walked to at low tide by crossing the estuary or you can take a longer half hour walk around the bird sanctuary estuary and the coastal path.
