Ty'r Orsaf, Builth Wells

Powys. Sleeps up to 4

This beautifully converted railway house on the picturesque 'Heart of Wales' railway line which is situated just outside Builth Wells, and is well-placed on the edge of the Builth Road railway station, with only eight trains a day passing by. The cottage is close to the Royal Welsh Showground, home of the Royal Welsh Festival and annual events which is in walking distance. This property boasts a wonderful open-plan interior, combining the lounge, kitchen and dining space into one room and is ideally placed on the first floor, with stunning views over the rolling countryside hills. Have a seat on the L-shaped sofa after a long day and enjoy the benefits of the electric fire to keep you warm during those chilly evenings. The kitchen is the perfect place to cook up a storm for the family and then sit back and relax at the dining table whilst you enjoy your lovingly prepared meals, or plan the day's events. The property benefits from two ground floor bedrooms: one king-size and one twin, with zip and link features, so whatever your group type, there will be something to accommodate you. Outside, you can sit and wind down with a refreshing drink whilst enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this rural area. There is off-road parking for two cars. You are ideally placed for exploring a plethora of attractions, including the wonderfully historic Builth Castle, which was built under King Edward I, once an impressive stone-built, now all that remains are earthworks. Visit Mynydd Epynt, an upland area which offers plenty of trails for walking and horse riding, with views across the beautiful unspoilt countryside. Take a drive towards Gigrin Farm, where your little ones will delight in discovering the different species of birds. The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and the Shropshire Hills AONB are both less than an hour's drive away and offer plenty of wonderful tourist attractions to be seen. Ty'r Orsaf is the place to be for exploring all Mid-Wales has to offer.
