Wonderfully located on the Wild Atlantic Way and overlooking the ocean, this cosy, three bedroom, detached cottage is just over 1 mile from the centre of Belmullet. If the weather is good, sit in the garden and watch the sun go down on the bay or in cooler temperatures, why not light the open fire and look out the window at the wonders of the sea? The cottage is tastefully decorated and is well equipped with all home comforts.

The town of Belmullet has a good variety of cafés, restaurants and pubs, many with Irish music sessions. Belmullet is the capital of the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) region of Erris, an area that offers unspoilt beauty and glorious beaches, and is the ideal place for that get away from it all holiday. Erris is famous for its rich fishing waters and the coastline has an abundance of beautiful, uncrowded beaches.

Carne Golf Links is 2 miles from the cottage and is a championship course. Water sports facilities are available at the adventure centre in Elly Bay, and the Gateway Leisure Park in the town is an ideal way to pass a wet afternoon. For those preferring pools, there is an outdoor tidal pool close by. Walkers and cyclists will be spoilt in this area as there are absolutely miles and miles of unpopulated and under developed countryside to explore, from the Erris Head Loop Walk to the Bangor Trail and the Western Way.

Ballycroy National Park, the Ceide Fields, the Mullet Peninsula and Blacksod Bay are all lovely day trips, whilst a little further afield is the Greenway cycle/walking trail which is a lovely way to travel from Mulrany to Achill. For those looking for a day out in a bigger town, Ballina, 40 miles, and Castlebar, 50 miles, are within easy reach. Beach 1½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.. Approximate distance to Knock airport is 106 km.
