The cottage itself, dating back over 200 years and thoughtfully refurbished in 2009/10, welcomes guests with its spacious and inviting lounge. This area features ample comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, and large windows that fill the space with natural light. French doors lead to a lovely terrace, while the Purbeck stone fireplace, equipped with a traditional wood burner, creates a cozy atmosphere for chilly evenings. Additionally, a separate smaller lounge offers seating, children's games, and another TV/DVD, providing a perfect retreat for younger guests. The dining room, adorned with a beautiful Purbeck stone floor, adds to the cottage's charm.
The galley-style kitchen is well-equipped with modern amenities, including an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer dryer, ensuring convenience for guests. The ground floor also features a delightful double bedroom with French doors leading to a patio, accompanied by a shower room. A narrow staircase leads to the first floor, where guests will find three additional cozy bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and stunning views of the sea and downs, along with an en suite bathroom. A smaller bedroom with a 4 ft 6 ins bed offers garden views, while a children's room features a bunk bed and a single bed, complete with toys and books for entertainment. A shared bathroom with a shower over the bath is also located on this floor.
Outside, the cottage is surrounded by a large, secluded garden that is walled, gated, and fenced, providing a safe space for relaxation and play. The garden features expansive lawns, attractive shrubbery, and a raised patio for outdoor dining, all while offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. A second patio area beside the cottage is furnished for additional outdoor enjoyment. For families, the garden is equipped with a full-size trampoline, sandpit, and a variety of garden toys, ensuring that children have ample opportunities for fun. Guests can also park up to three cars in the driveway, making this cottage an ideal retreat for families or groups seeking a memorable getaway in the stunning Purbeck region.
