Seahouses itself is a vibrant village with a variety of amenities, including tearooms, restaurants, pubs, and shops, making it a convenient base for visitors. The nearby harbour offers boat trips to the Farne Islands, renowned for their rich wildlife, including nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies. Additionally, the area provides opportunities for horse riding and boasts a picturesque golf course close to Puffins Nest. Just two miles north lies the charming village of Bamburgh, known for its stunning sandy beaches and the iconic Bamburgh Castle, along with views of the nearby Holy Island, a site of historical significance.

Further along the coast, visitors can explore Waren Mill, a historic site that once served as an important port, and Budle Bay, a bird sanctuary that attracts numerous birdwatchers due to its rich biodiversity. The market town of Alnwick, located a few miles inland, features its own castle and the famous Alnwick Garden, which includes a grand cascade waterfall and the largest treehouse restaurant in Europe. Puffins Nest serves as an excellent base for exploring the breathtaking Heritage coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the beach just 300 yards away and local shops, pubs, and restaurants within easy walking distance.
