Holiday House In Quiet Village Close To The Best Beach In North Cornwall

Near Tintagel, Cornwall

6

Situated near Tintagel in the picturesque South West of England, this charming holiday home, formerly the village stores, offers a bright and inviting space for up to six guests, with the potential to accommodate a few more. The property is a mere 12-minute walk from Trebarwith Strand, renowned for being one of the best beaches in North Cornwall, particularly favored by surfers. Additionally, the location is ideal for walking enthusiasts, with the scenic North Cornwall Coastal Path just five minutes away. Guests can also enjoy the local dining scene, featuring two pubs that serve delicious food, one boasting stunning views of the sea and sunsets.

The Old Stores features a spacious layout that includes a living area, dining space, and kitchen, alongside a large studio that was once the shop itself. Accommodations consist of two double bedrooms—one with an en suite—and a room with two single beds, complemented by two bathrooms and a separate utility space for post-beach clean-up. Central heating ensures comfort throughout the property, and while guests are required to bring their own linens and towels, the house offers a range of wetsuits for those looking to venture into the water.

Although the amenities are basic and straightforward—described as more akin to a Lidl than a Waitrose—the Old Stores provides everything necessary for a pleasant holiday experience. The lack of a garden means that pet owners will need to take their dogs to the nearby beach, which is known for being dog-friendly, thanks to the high tide that regularly cleans the sandy shore. While electric bikes were previously available for rent, they have been withdrawn due to misuse.

In addition to its proximity to the coast, the vacation home is conveniently located near various attractions, including the historic sites of Boscastle (4 miles), Tintagel (2 miles), and Port Isaac (5 miles). The stunning Rocky Valley and Bodmin Moor are also just a short drive away, providing ample opportunities for exploration. Visitors can partake in numerous outdoor activities such as surfing, bodyboarding, fishing, hiking, and biking, making this area a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
