The ground floor of the cottage includes a welcoming entrance porch that leads into a cozy dining/lounge area. This space is enhanced by an Inglenook fireplace featuring a woodburning stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lounge is equipped with modern amenities such as a TV, DVD recorder/player, and a radio/CD player, along with comfortable lounge and dining furniture, including a sofa bed for additional sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is well-appointed with an electric hob, fan oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, catering to all the needs of guests.
On the first floor, Knaifan Cottage offers two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with twin beds, both furnished with pine furniture and retaining the charming exposed beams. The bathroom is equipped with a shower over the bath, hand basin, WC, and a shaver socket. The cottage is fully electric and includes amenities such as logs for the stove, bed linen, towels, and superfast fibre broadband. A cot and payphone are also available for guests' convenience.
The exterior of Knaifan Cottage features a fenced and gated lawned garden, complemented by a patio area with garden furniture, perfect for relaxing outdoors. Private parking for two cars is available at the front of the cottage. Situated in the heart of Uldale, the cottage is within walking distance of local attractions, including Mae’s Tea Room and Gallery, just 200 yards away, and the traditional "Snooty Fox" pub, a mere two-minute stroll. The surrounding countryside offers ample walking opportunities, with stunning views of Skiddaw and the Caldbeck Fells, making it a paradise for fell lovers. Uldale also boasts a new play park and tennis court, enhancing the appeal of this idyllic location.
