Keil Farmhouse is a delightful detached cottage located on the stunning Argyllshire coast, just 22 miles south of Fort William, in the village of Duror, Highland, Scotland. This charming farmhouse offers comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to five guests and is set within a working farm environment, allowing visitors to experience the daily activities of farm life, including the presence of gentle llamas and various livestock. The property, dating back to the 1930s, features traditional wood paneling throughout, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for families.
The ground floor of the farmhouse includes a cozy sitting room equipped with a wood-burning stove, a TV, and a DVD player, providing a perfect space for relaxation. The spacious kitchen/dining area is designed in a country style, featuring an oil Rayburn cooker that not only serves as a cooking appliance but also provides heating and hot water. Additionally, the kitchen is well-equipped with a separate electric oven, electric hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, along with a dining table and chairs for family meals.
On the first floor, guests will find three comfortable bedrooms, including one with a double bed, another with two single beds, and a third with a single bed. The shower room is equipped with a shower cubicle, WC, and wash basin. Essential utilities such as oil, electricity, bed linen, and tea towels are included in the rental, while the first supply of wood for the stove is provided. For added convenience, bath and hand towels can be obtained for a nominal fee, and amenities like a travel cot, stair gate, and fire guard are available upon request.
