This delightful retreat accommodates up to four guests and features two well-appointed bedrooms: one king-size and one twin room. The cottage is ideally situated to explore the vibrant local amenities, including an array of independent cafes, restaurants, pubs, and shops, as well as a local produce street market that takes place every Monday. Newport is nestled at the foot of Carningli Mountain and is just a short walk from Parrog beach and the Pembrokeshire coastal path, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The surrounding area of Newport is renowned for its stunning coastal views and scenic landscapes, characteristic of one of the most beautiful parts of Pembrokeshire National Park. Visitors can enjoy two nearby beaches, Parrog and Traeth Mawr (Big Beach), both of which offer opportunities for various watersports. Additionally, the local golf club provides a chance to unwind with a round of golf. Historical sites, such as the Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber and the Preseli Hills, are easily accessible, located just a short drive away. The charming market town of Cardigan is located 11 miles to the north, while the harbor towns of Fishguard and Goodwick are roughly 7 miles to the south. Regular bus services connect Newport to these towns year-round, with additional coastal buses operating during the summer months.

The upstairs bedrooms are equipped with essential furnishings, including wardrobes, bedside tables, and a Freeview TV in the king-size room. The bathroom features a bath with an electric shower, a WC, and a heated towel rail for added comfort. The downstairs area boasts a cozy sitting room with a log burner, a TV, and ample seating, while the kitchen/diner is well-equipped with modern appliances, including a gas hob, electric oven, and dishwasher, along with a dining table that seats four. A wet room is also available, featuring a walk-in shower and additional facilities.

Outside, Y Bwthyn offers a southerly facing garden with lovely views over the charming rooftops towards the sea and Dinas Head. The garden is accessible via 15 steps and includes a large picnic table for alfresco dining, wooden garden chairs, and a small BBQ, though guests should supervise children and pets at all times. While there is no designated parking at the cottage, visitors can unload their belongings outside and are encouraged to use the nearby public car park, which charges approximately £3.00 per day or £25.00 per week from April to the end of October. For larger groups, Y Bwthyn can be booked in conjunction with Bronmor, which accommodates an additional four adults and two children, making it a versatile option for family gatherings or group getaways.
