This converted stable, part of a larger complex on a working farm, offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. Refurbished in 2018, the cottage features a spacious open-plan living area that includes a living room with a 32" Freeview Smart TV, a dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen with essential appliances such as an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The ground floor also includes a bathroom fitted with a shower over the bath and a toilet.

On the first floor, guests will find two cozy bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with twin beds, catering to various sleeping arrangements. The cottage is equipped with electric central heating, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout the year. Additionally, guests are welcomed with a complimentary pack, and all essential amenities, including bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi, are provided. The Stable also features a small, enclosed garden with outdoor seating, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. Pets are welcome, with provisions for two dogs to stay, though they must be kept on a lead due to the farm setting. Private parking is available for one vehicle, and smoking is prohibited within the premises.

Families can enjoy local attractions such as the Cream O’ Galloway ice cream factory, the CocoaBean Chocolate Factory, and Laggan Outdoors, which features one of Europe’s longest zip wires. For cycling enthusiasts, there are numerous paths accessible directly from the cottage, including the renowned 7Stanes challenge, as well as opportunities for fishing in the region's many lochs and rivers.

Just a short drive from The Stable, the town of Gatehouse of Fleet offers a variety of dining options and local attractions, including the Mill on the Fleet Visitor Centre and Cardoness Castle. With the beach located only a mile and a half away, guests can easily enjoy the coastal experience. The cottage is conveniently located two miles from shops, pubs, and restaurants, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. For larger groups, The Stable can be booked alongside other nearby cottages, accommodating up to 22 guests in total, making it perfect for family gatherings or group retreats in this beautiful, unspoiled corner of Scotland.
