Located in Stocksfield, near Hexham in Northumberland, this inviting lodge offers a delightful retreat for couples or small families, accommodating up to four guests. The property is situated on the ground floor and features a cozy living/dining room complete with a wood burner, a 28" Freeview TV, and a DVD player, creating a warm atmosphere for relaxation. The well-equipped kitchen includes an Everhot electric range, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, ensuring all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The lodge also boasts two bedrooms—a king-size bed in the first and twin beds in the second—alongside a modern shower room with a heated towel rail and travertine flooring. Central heating, bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi are included, along with an initial supply of logs for the wood burner and a welcome pack for guests.

Originally built in 1922 as the gardener's cottage for Low Bridges House, the lodge is steeped in history, having connections to Dr. Ethel Williams, Newcastle's first female GP and a prominent suffragist. The property has been tastefully decorated, blending original features with contemporary furnishings to create an inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a peaceful sitting-out area with garden furniture and a stream running through the garden, enhancing the tranquil setting. The lodge is a mere two-minute drive from the popular wedding venue of Healey Barns, making it an ideal location for romantic getaways or mid-week escapes.
