Rhoda's Cottage is a delightful semi-detached property situated in the picturesque village of Strachur, located on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne in Argyll, Scotland. The cottage is accessed via eight steps leading to the entrance and is equipped with electric heaters. Inside, the ground floor comprises a cozy lounge with Freesat TV and DVD, and a well-equipped kitchen/diner, complete with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, washing machine, and a dining table with chairs, making it ideal for family meals and gatherings.

On the first floor, guests will find three bedrooms that offer unique views: one single bedroom suited for a child overlooks a field leading to the sea, while another contains two single beds with a view of the garden. The master bedroom features a double bed and also overlooks the garden. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath, WC, and wash basin. The cottage provides all necessary amenities, including electricity, bed linen, and towels, with additional facilities such as a cot and high chair available upon request. Wi-Fi access is provided in the bedrooms, ensuring connectivity during your stay.

Outside, Rhoda's Cottage boasts a lovely garden area furnished with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, perfect for enjoying al fresco meals. Guests are invited to stroll through the beautiful gardens of Strachur House, which is located nearby. Although the surrounding greenhouses and farm buildings are no longer in operation, they contribute to the tranquil rural atmosphere. The property also offers off-road parking for two vehicles and is conveniently located just 50 meters from the river, allowing for scenic walks and exploration of the natural beauty of the area.

Strachur itself is a charming village with a rich history, including its association with the historic Strachur House, an impressive Adams-style mansion built in the 1780s. The house was once home to Sir John Fitzroy MacLean, a notable figure in Scottish history, and the Maclean family continues to reside there. Guests at Rhoda's Cottage will find local amenities, such as a village shop, café, inn with bar and restaurant, petrol station, village hall, and tennis courts, all within easy walking distance, enhancing the overall convenience and enjoyment of their stay in this idyllic Scottish location.
