This cottage is part of a unique collection of four accommodations situated at a historic lighthouse, which was originally built in 1847. The lighthouse has undergone several upgrades over the years, being electrified in 1973 and automated in 1995, although the site remains closed to the public, ensuring a tranquil retreat for guests.

The cottage comfortably sleeps four people and is pet-friendly, making it an ideal choice for families or groups looking to enjoy a coastal getaway. Nestled 75 feet above the sea, Pelorus offers breathtaking views of the ocean, providing guests with the opportunity to observe fishing boats as they navigate in and out of the nearby Padstow harbor. The semi-detached cottages are arranged around the lighthouse, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for visitors.

Access to Pelorus is via a one-mile-long private road, ensuring a sense of seclusion and privacy. At the front of the property, there is a communal tarmac forecourt that provides parking for guests. To the rear, a shared walled grass area overlooks the sea, although safety precautions advise against using this space due to its proximity to the cliff edge. The South West Coast Path runs alongside the headland, offering scenic walking opportunities that lead towards the vibrant town of Padstow.

In addition to Pelorus, the site features three other cottages: Brook Cottage, Verity Cottage, and Nimbus Cottage, each accommodating four guests.
