The lodge features an open-plan living space that includes a cozy living area equipped with a 32" Freeview TV, a dining area, and a well-appointed kitchen with modern appliances such as an electric oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The sleeping arrangements consist of one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, complemented by a convenient shower room.

Guests at Heron can enjoy the warmth of electric central heating and the convenience of bed linen and towels provided. A travel cot and highchair are available upon request, making it family-friendly. The lodge also offers a welcome pack for guests upon arrival, enhancing the homely atmosphere. For those needing laundry facilities, there is an external utility room with a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside, a lovely patio with garden furniture invites guests to relax and take in the breathtaking views of the loch, while a small boat pontoon is available for rent, allowing visitors to explore the waters of the loch at their leisure.

The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty, with five acres of shared woodland available for guests to explore. This tranquil environment is home to a variety of wildlife, including otters, seals, herons, and buzzards, making it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts. A dedicated bird and nature lookout provides an excellent opportunity for observing the local fauna. The lodge's location offers easy access to local amenities, with a shop located five miles away and a pub and restaurant just two miles from the property.

Heron is designed for relaxation and comfort, with features like underfloor heating that make it suitable for short breaks even during the winter months. For larger groups, the lodge can be booked in conjunction with two other lodges, Otter and Seal, accommodating up to 14 guests in total. This flexibility makes Heron an excellent choice for family gatherings or group retreats, offering a serene and picturesque base to explore the captivating Argyll countryside.
