The area is characterized by its stunning rural landscapes, with numerous walking paths accessible right from the doorstep. The lodge, known as Fern Lodge, is situated on over 25 acres of fields and woodland, ensuring a serene environment that allows guests to immerse themselves in nature while being close to the attractions of the Lake District National Park and Morecambe Bay.

Fern Lodge is designed to accommodate up to four guests, featuring comfortable and well-appointed living spaces all on the ground floor. The open-plan living and dining area is light and airy, complete with an electric wood burner, a 55" Smart TV, and French doors that lead to a sun-drenched decked terrace. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with essential appliances, including an electric oven, gas hob, and dishwasher, making it perfect for self-catering. The master bedroom boasts a kingsize bed, an en-suite bathroom, and direct access to a private patio, while the second bedroom offers twin beds, catering to various guest needs.

Guests can enjoy additional amenities such as a private hot tub on the rear patio, ideal for relaxation after a day of exploring the region. The lodge also features an enclosed garden, private parking for three cars, and a welcome pack to enhance the stay. Notably, the property has a natural water supply from a borehole and includes conveniences such as LPG central heating, bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi. Families are welcome, with provisions for a travel cot and highchair available upon request.

Within a short walking distance of the lodge, the picturesque village of Cartmel offers a selection of excellent pubs and restaurants, including the renowned Michelin-starred L'Enclume. The vibrant atmosphere during race days attracts many visitors, adding to the charm of the village. Additionally, the popular destinations of Bowness and Windermere are just a short drive away, while the coastal town of Grange-over-Sands and the beautiful Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are also nearby, providing a diverse range of activities and experiences for guests to enjoy.
