This spacious open-plan studio seamlessly merges traditional English country aesthetics with modern comforts, featuring high-quality fixtures throughout. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a communal freezer for ice, complimentary Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, and a selection of magazines and books. The layout of Cox's Orange Pippin includes two bedrooms, each furnished with super king-size sleigh beds, allowing for a comfortable stay for up to four individuals. The kitchenette is equipped with essential appliances like a microwave, kettle, toaster, and fridge, along with a welcome supply of fresh milk, tea, and coffee. The bathroom is designed for accessibility, featuring a wet room with automatic lighting, an anti-mist smart mirror, heated towel rail, and underfloor heating, complemented by bespoke toiletries inspired by the gardens' apple scents. Additionally, a further shower room is available, enhancing convenience for guests.

Originally a dormant calf byre of the historic Houghton Lodge, the Apple Rooms now boast six uniquely designed boutique en-suite bedrooms, each named after apple varieties from the walled garden orchard. The rooms overlook a lush meadow, providing a tranquil escape from the main house and the nearby river. The Apple Rooms serve as an ideal base for exploring attractions in the Test Valley, making them perfect for romantic getaways, countryside retreats, and visits to local events or fishing spots.

Guests are treated to a charming blend of antique mahogany and oak Georgian furniture, with many pieces being over 300 years old. Where antiques were hard to source, contemporary items were selected to complement the minimalist yet stylish decor. This thoughtful design creates a serene and idyllic atmosphere for visitors. During their stay, guests can enjoy complimentary access to the gardens from April to September, featuring stunning landscapes such as the walled garden and peony walk. They also receive a discount at the on-site tearoom, Honesty at Houghton Lodge, although the gardens and tearoom close during the winter months for development purposes.
