Nestled in the charming village of Wooler, Northumberland, this well-presented mid-terrace cottage offers a cozy retreat for up to four guests. Known as the Gateway to the Cheviot Hills, Wooler is surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of a national park recognized for its Dark Sky status. The cottage's prime location allows easy access to local amenities such as shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants, while also providing opportunities for outdoor activities like golfing and riverside strolls. Adventurous guests can explore a variety of walking, running, and cycling trails, including the scenic ascent of Humbleton Hill and the historical sites of St. Cuthbert's Cave and the ruins of King of Northumbria’s palace at Ad Gefrin, all situated within nine miles of the property.

Guests can also enjoy a ride on the steam train from Heatherslaw, just ten miles away, or venture to the picturesque village of Etal and its castle. For those looking to explore further, the stunning beach and impressive castle at Bamburgh are a mere 16 miles away, along with the opportunity to tour the coastal villages. The cottage itself features a bright and airy open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area that is designed to create a sense of space and comfort. With wood flooring throughout, the ground floor allows guests to engage in various activities while still enjoying each other's company.

The inviting lounge is equipped with two comfortable sofas, perfect for unwinding in front of the open fire after a day of exploration. Guests can relax with a drink, delve into a book, listen to music, or catch up on their favorite shows on the television, with a selection of DVDs available for movie nights. The kitchen is fully stocked with modern amenities, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, and washing machine, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy sociable dining experiences at the table.

Upstairs, the cottage features two king-size bedrooms, each with a contemporary en suite shower room and WC. While the en suite doorways are narrower than usual and lack doors, guests can still enjoy ample privacy. Outside, a small patio area at the rear of the cottage is furnished for alfresco dining, and although the rest of the rear area is officially shared, it is rarely utilized by the neighboring property. Ample on-street parking is available in front of the cottage, subject to availability, with additional free parking located just 40 meters away. Importantly, all proceeds from this property support Rescue Me Dogs, a charity run by the owner that provides assistance dogs to ex-members of the armed services suffering from PTSD.
